Artist Statement

The fluid medium of paint allows me a greater freedom to investigate colour, markmaking, composition and layering. Through the juxtaposition of formal elements and the articulation of layers of paint, I strive to create works that explore contrasts in transparency and opaqueness, tautness and fluidity, speed and serenity, control and spontaneity.
